Mercedes-Benz debuts tablet-packing A-Class concept

As fond as we are of the A-Class, it's never been the best looking Benz in the bunch, but with the introduction of the new A-Class concept, it looks like that could soon change. One of the car's designers describes it variously as sexy, expressive, and beautifully formed, and while we wouldn't go quite that far, we have to say it's not too shabby. The car sports some interesting looking LED headlights and an inverted mesh grill on the outside, and on the inside it's packing a rather futuristic display, complete with a dash-mounted tablet and what looks to be an iPhone protruding from the center console. Now, there's no guarantee that this thing will get the E-Cell treatment, or that all the bells and whistles will make it to production, but for now, it's shaping up to be a rather stylish upgrade. Toyota sells a million U.S. PRII alone

Yes, the Japanese automaker said Wednesday it has officially sold a million Prius on American soil. Reportedly also reached a milestone few other sales in the last six months, with Prius sales worldwide reaching two million in October and general Toyota hybrid sales of over three million dollars in March .

Means short-range transport are the quiet revolution setup of the car business these days. Not surprisingly, different scooters, tricycles, unicycles and even have been receiving a lot of coverage here lately geek gadgets. Although its setting is familiar, a design team commissioned by Peugeot had a hyper-futuristic take on the tricycle that the French only sleek and stylish.

Since it’s a concept, there’s no use enumerating its specifications, though its e-motor is supposed to give it enough oomph for a decent 35mph. The team behind the silvery XB1 envisioned their compact ride in the near future when automobile transport as we know it has shifted outside cities, leaving ample room for pedestrian alternatives.
However, there is a pressing concern when it comes to this particular trike; since it won’t be mass produced (if ever) in various color combinations, how does the citizen identify their ride when a whole row of these XB1′s are sitting in a corner somewhere? A GPS locator via a smartphone is how.
Don’t expect this to be on European streets any time soon. The projection for the Peugeot XB1 is around 15 to 20 years from now. It’s certainly better than a silly electric rickshaw.
