Google VP stats Fixed Mobile has 150 million users Maps
Care for a cup of Google data, the whole world? At SXSW, vice president of discovery services, Marissa Mayer, said some interesting facts about the state of all things mobile Goog. Specifically, the company offers its services to allocate 150 million users. Just to give an idea of how many peeps it is - is almost half the number of people in the U.S.. Crazy, we know. Moreover, Mayer argues that users of Google Maps tour 12000000000000 miles per year and the latest version of the application saves people an average of two days of travel time each year. Another important fact to note is the way society feels about Google Maps for the iPhone. "We like to be the default provider, but we would like some of these changes to a wider audience. There is a debate / question we expected." Updates? A real Google Maps application that works as a GPS in the iPhone? We woke up when iOS 5 is a preview, or you can just keep dreaming.
