It looks like Apple’s Mac OS X 10.6.7 update released a few days ago doesn’t only bring improvements to the operating system. It introduces new problems to Macs that use NVIDIA Quadro 4000 graphics cards. It has been reported that the display driver for the graphics card was incompatible with OS X 10.6.7 and during installation of the update, it was simply removed. Without the proper drivers for the graphics card, the Mac can’t make use of all the Quadros’ features and may not work properly. Fortunately NVIDIA was quick to recognize the problem and has issued an update to fix it.
