Sun Microsystems, one of the original gangsters responsible for providing all the electronics and infrastructure we now know as the Internet, no longer of Sun Microsystems in January last year. Assimilated into the giant Oracle, its operations are no longer the familiar logo and soon will no longer even mentioned in the same website. Yes, after 25 years of answering the call of sun.com, the company will no longer be dropping their old domain name as well. The site has already been redirected to Oracle users for some time, but come June 1 will be like the sun I knew I had not even risen.
