Visa launches personal service such as PayPal payments for U.S. Consumers
Electronic retail giant Visa payment network operator is to give PayPal a run for their money today, announcing a new service that allows U.S. consumers to receive and send funds to any right of Visa, debit or prepaid account.
Now, the bank's customers of financial institutions will have the option of selecting a Visa account as the destination of the funds for personal payments. The user enters the payee's account 16-digit Visa, e-mail address or phone number, allowing consumers to send funds directly from your bank account to the account of a recipient of Visa, as the act of send money with PayPal.
Previously, Visa's personal payments were offered by financial institutions outside the U.S., but availability in the U.S. is a big problem, considering the popularity of PayPal. Of course, the virtue of the use of PayPal is that you must have a Visa account to use their payment service.
Visa is constantly looking for ways to build their online presence in payments. For example, earlier this year, the company bought the virtual platform PlaySpan monetization of assets. Compete with PayPal, which has a massive user base, can be a formidable challenge.
