YouTube To Invest up to $875,000 in Rising Stars
YouTube is launching a new campaign to cultivate more original, quality content on their servers, with the promise of investing $ 35,000 to 25 of its members.
The new initiative, NextUp YouTube, does not focus on discovering new talent, but to "accelerate the growth of the next YouTube star." YouTube existing partners (those with fewer than 300,000 subscribers) are asked to apply with a video, up to three minutes long, demonstrating their talents and discuss the projects that I want to go to YouTube if selected.
The partners selected for the program will be a space of four days in the Creator of YouTube Camp, where they will be guided in the production, videography and other disciplines in an effort to improve their craft. YouTube has also promised to promote their projects and the channel upon completion. However, the main attraction for NextUp program has to be the charm for $ 35,000 boost in funding for acting, directing, producing or musical ambitions.
Once applications are submitted, YouTube users will have a say in who will receive money from the company. March 29 to April 8, YouTube users will have the opportunity to vote on YouTube.com / creators for their favorite stars. Thereafter, a panel of judges will select the finalists and announce that on 20 April.
