Doodle Jump Hits10 million iOS and Android downloads :Promises iPad Version, Toys & More
One of the most popular iPhone games of all time, Doodle Jump, celebrates its second birthday on Tuesday. The company said it reached a major milestone - 10 million Android IOS and downloads - and a lot of important plans for the future.
The game is created and maintained by a small company called Sky Lima, founded by two brothers based in New York, and Pusenjak Igor Marko. Like many other popular mobile games, Jump Doodle is very simple: tilt the iPhone (the game is also available for Android, BlackBerry and Symbian) and try to boost your character as high as possible by pushing platforms.
Jump Doodle quickly became a huge success, appearing on many lists of top official, Apple placed second in the top paid iPhone applications list, and 10 in the highest-grossing list applications for the iPhone.
Following in the footsteps of Birds angry, another popular mobile game, Jump Doodle manufacturers plan to expand the game to more platforms, and even outside the realm of mobile gaming. According to mobile marketing agency Appula, Jump Doodle take to reach the iPad. (The specific tablet version of the game has been in the works since the summer of 2010.)
A version of Xbox Kinect Jump Doodle is also planned, and a Jump Doodle toy line and comic books are also in the works.
