No SXSW. The perfect extension for those not here.

For now, even if you're at SXSW, it is likely SXSW disease. Why? Because each tweet is fucking other SXSW. I'm here, and Twitter about it, and I'm sick of it. But luckily Lanyrd has created the perfect extension.

Not at SXSW is a Firefox extension that alters Chrome and Twitter.com to remove all the tweets that refer to the conference. But that's not good enough. So the extension also blocks all tweets from Twitter users know to attend SXSW!

It is brilliant. Not perfect, but it's close.

And it is quite easy to make the extension in and out of Twitter.com (just click on the link back to the top of the sequence shown tweets how many are hidden by SXSWness). From here you can also choose to hide only the hashtag tweets o # # SXSW sxswi and / or assistants known.

And you think Lanyrd SXSW are enemies are also behind perhaps the best (unofficial) Guide to SXSW in Austin. They're just smart enough to realize that not everyone cares about the conference - or worse, some people are forced to stop following users to stop the flow of tweets relating to SXSW.

Other new companies have extensions to selectively block the tweets of your current - Slipstream is a great tool for this - but Lanyrd is built for one purpose: to attack with nuclear weapons technology / movies / music hipsters.

Yahoo has sold for the sum Delicious underwhelming $ 5 million, according to a report by a technology blog.

Citing "a solid report from a reliable and proven source," The Next Web says the service has been sold to a competitor in the space around social bookmarking.

Inadvertently Yahoo announced plans to "sunset" Delicious when a slide of an internal meeting was leaked to the web in December. Since then, many technology companies, including Google, have developed tools to import marker specifically for users of Delicious.
At this point, many startups have been able to divert Delicious users while many have wondered whether Yahoo would even be able to sell web property, waving, which was never really money in the first place, according to the founder of Delicious .

Yahoo acquired Delicious in 2005 for a reported 18 million. If both the $ 18 million and $ 5 million, the figures are correct, the whole history of service has been tremendously profitable Yahoo.

However, given the aforementioned leakage of confidential information, and bleeding under the users, we can not say that $ 5 million is an unfair price.

We have come to Yahoo for comment and update our readers more details available.

UPDATE: A Yahoo representative said recently via e-mail that although the company is unable to comment on rumors, "Part of our organizational streamlining involves shifting our investment in low-performing products or off strategy pay more attention to our facility strengths and new innovation fund in the coming year and beyond.

"We are actively thinking about the future of Delicious and believe it is a home from the company that would make more sense for the service, our customers and our shareholders. We are in the process of exploring a variety of options and report specific plans where necessary.

" Delicious undoubtedly would not be profitable Yahoo, ". A house outside the company" we are eager to learn what will happen with the service and whether to continue operating in its current form

Peugeot XB1 - short-range transport are the quiet revolution setup of the car business these days

0 comments Posted by ADMIN on Saturday, March 12, 2011

Means short-range transport are the quiet revolution setup of the car business these days. Not surprisingly, different scooters, tricycles, unicycles and even have been receiving a lot of coverage here lately geek gadgets. Although its setting is familiar, a design team commissioned by Peugeot had a hyper-futuristic take on the tricycle that the French only sleek and stylish.
Since it’s a concept, there’s no use enumerating its specifications, though its e-motor is supposed to give it enough oomph for a decent 35mph. The team behind the silvery XB1 envisioned their compact ride in the near future when automobile transport as we know it has shifted outside cities, leaving ample room for pedestrian alternatives.
However, there is a pressing concern when it comes to this particular trike; since it won’t be mass produced (if ever) in various color combinations, how does the citizen identify their ride when a whole row of these XB1′s are sitting in a corner somewhere? A GPS locator via a smartphone is how.
Don’t expect this to be on European streets any time soon. The projection for the Peugeot XB1 is around 15 to 20 years from now. It’s certainly better than a silly electric rickshaw.
